Yalitza Aparicio is a Mexican actress. She is best known for her debut performance as Cleo in Alfonso Cuarón's 2018 drama film Roma, which earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. She was not fluent in the Mextic (her character's origin) language and had to learn it for the film. Her breaththrough performance has earned her numerous accolades, awards and nominations.
