Troy Verges is an American songwriter. One of his first cuts as a songwriter was "Love Is a Sweet Thing" on Faith Hill's Breathe album. Within a year of the Faith Hill record, he scored number 1 songs with Jessica Andrews' "Who I Am" and Martina McBride's "Blessed" from her Greatest Hits collection. Verges has since been named BMI Country Songwriter of the Year and the NSAI Songwriter of the Year.
