The film is directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and is written by Steven Levenson. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Robin de Jesús, V****** H******, Joshua Henry, Jonathan Marc Sherman, MJ Rodriguez, Ben Levi Ross, Judith Light, and Bradley Whitford. Released by Netflix, the film had its world premiere at the AFI Fest on November 10, 2021, and began a limited theatrical release two days later on November 12, followed by digital streaming a week later on November 19.
