The Trial of the Chicago 7 is a 2020 biographical film about seven anti-Vietnam War activists; Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, and Lee Weiner, who, alongside Black Panther Party co-founder Bobby Seale, are sued by the city of Chicago for conspiracy to incite violence at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. The film directed and written by Aaron Sorkin. The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Flaherty, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Noah Robbins, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, and Jeremy Strong.
