The Silence of the Lambs is a 1991 horror thriller film about FBI cadet Clarice Starling being sent to interview notorious serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter in order to find another serial killer named Buffalo Bill before he skins the daughter of a senator to make her part of his skin suit. The film is directed by Jonathan Demme and is written by Ted Tally, based on Thomas Harris' book of the same name. The film stars Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn, Ted Levine, Charles Napier, Frankie Faison, Anthony Heald, Broke Smith, and Diane Baker. It was released on February 14, 1991.
