The Life Ahead is a 2020 Italian drama film. The film is directed by Edoardo Ponti, who also co-wrote the script with Ugo Chiti, based on Romain Gary's book, The Life Before Us and is a remake of Madame Rosa, which was also adapted from the same book. The film stars Sophia Loren, Ibrahima Gueye, and Abril Zamora. Released by Netflix, the film began a limited theatrical release in the United States on November 6, 2020, followed by digital streaming in both the US and Italy a week later on November 13.
