The film is directed by Michael Showalter and written by Abe Sylvia, based on the doumentary of the same name. The film stars Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield, Cherry Jones, Vincent D'Onofrio. The film had its world premiere at the 46th Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2021, and was released theatrically five days later on September 17.
