Shoplifters is a 2018 Japanese drama film directed, written and edited by Hirokazu Koreeeda. It stars Lily Franky, Sakura Ando, Mayu Matsuoka, Jyo Kairi and Miyu Sasaki. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it went on to win the Palme d'Or and released by GAGA Pictures. The film won the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Feature Film.

Plot[]
When an impoverished family that uses petty theft to supplement the parents' poor wages takes in a seemingly abandoned and abused young girl, their devotion to one another grows even stronger. Running afoul of the law, however, the family is torn apart as its secrets are revealed.
