Scrooged is a 1988 American Christmas comedy film, a modernization of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". The film was produced and directed by Richard Donner. The screenplay was written by Mitch Glazer and Michael O'Donoghue. The original music score was composed by Danny Elfman. The film has an all-star studded cast including Bill Murray, Karen Allen, Bobcat Goldthwait, Alfre Woodard, John Forsythe, Carol Kane, John Houseman, Robert Mitchum, John Blove, David Johansen, Jamie Farr and Robert Goulet. Murray's brothers Brian, John, and Joel also appear in the film.

Plot[]
Frank Cross runs a US TV station which is planning a live adaptation of Dickens' Christmas Carol. Frank's childhood wasn't a particularly pleasant one, and so he doesn't really appreciate the Christmas spirit. With the help of the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, Frank realises he must change.
