Sandra Bullock is an American Academy Award-winning actress and producer. She started acting in 1987 but it wasn't until 1994 after appearing in Speed that she shot to fame. In 2007, she was ranked as the 14th richest woman in the entertainment industry. She was awarded the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama, and the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side (2010). She is listed in the 2012 edition of the Guinness Book Of World Records as the highest-paid actress, with $56 million. Bullock runs her own production company, Fortis Films. Bullock was an executive producer of the George Lopez sitcom. In November 2006 Bullock founded an Austin, Texas restaurant, Bess Bistro located on West 6th Street. She later opened another business, Walton's Fancy and Staple, across the street in a building she extensively renovated. Walton's is a bakery, upscale restaurant and floral shop that also offers services including event planning
