Sally Hawkins is a British actress who has garnered many awards and nominations. She started her career primarily as a stage actress. Hawkins made her first notable screen performance in the 2002 Mike Leigh film All or Nothing as Samantha. This would be first of three films that Hawkins and Leigh would work on together, the second of which was the 2004 film Vera Drake and the third her highly acclaimed role in Happy-Go-Lucky. Her first major television role came in 2005 in the BAFTA-nominated BBC drama, "Fingersmith". She has also lent her voice to numerous radio series.
