Road to Perdition is a 2002 American crime film directed by Sam Mendes. The screenplay was adapted by David Self, from the graphic novel of the same name by Max Allan Collins. The film stars Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law, Tyler Hoechlin, Daniel Craig, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ciarán Hinds and Stanley Tucci. Cinematographer Conrad L. Hall took advantage of the environment to create symbolism for the film, for which he won several awards. The film explores several themes, including the consequence of violence and father-son relationships.

Plot[]
Mike Sullivan works as a hit man for crime boss John Rooney. Sullivan views Rooney as a father figure. However after his son is witness to his family's killing, he finds him self on the run trying to save the life of his son and at the same time looking for revenge on those who wronged him.
