Peter Jackson is an Academy Award-winning New Zealand director, producer, and screenwriter with nine nominations to his name. He is best known for his epic film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. Jackson is the leader of New Zealand's Weta Workshop visual effects house. He is married to writer and producer Fran Walsh, with whom he has collaborated a number of times.
