One Night in Miami is a 2020 drama film telling the fictionalized version of the night of February 25, 1964 when four civil right figures; Malcolm X, pre-Muhammad Ali Cassius Clay, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke all met in a room at the Hampton House. The film is directed by Regina King and is written and based on the play of the same name by Kemp Powers. The film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge, Leslie Odom Jr., Lance Riddick, Joaquina Kalukango, Nicolette Robertson, and Beau Bridges. Released by Amazon Prime, the film had it's world premiere at the 75th Venice Film Festival on September 7, 2020, and began a limited theatrical release on Christmas Day, followed by digital streaming on January 15, 2021.
