Maria Bakalova is a Bulgerian actress. Bakalova began working in the Bulgarian film industry while studying at the National School of Arts in Burgas, and soon as she graduated, she made an audition tape for an unknown film. That tape led her to being chosen over 600 other actresses for the sequel to Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, which only started filming once the role she played got casted.
