La La Land is a 2016 American romantic musical written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, J.K. Simmons, John Legend, and Rosemarie DeWitt. The film's title is a reference to both a nickname for the city of Los Angeles as well as a euphemism for a state of being out of touch with reality. La La Land had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2016, and was released in the United States on December 9, 2016, by Summit Entertainment.

Plot[]
