The film's title is a reference to both a nickname for the city of Los Angeles as well as a euphemism for a state of being out of touch with reality. La La Land had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2016, and was released in the United States on December 9, 2016, by Summit Entertainment.

Plot[]

A story of Mia, an aspiring actress who serves lattes to movie stars in between auditions and Sebastian, a dedicated jazz musician playing cocktail party gigs in dingy bars, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts.
