Keith A. Wester was an American sound engineer. He was nominated for six Academy Awards in the category Best Sound. He was known for his innovation and for mentoring younger engineers. Wester began his love affair with audio technology as an amateur ham-radio operator at age 13. After receiving his bachelor's degree from Cal State L.A. and a master's at UCLA, he worked on sound engineering for about 2,500 commercials and over 60 films.
