John Refoua is a film editor who has collaborated on several projects with James Cameron. Refoua has been nominated for an Academy Award, an A.C.E. Eddie and a BAFTA, in addition to a Critics Choice Award win for co-editing Avatar. Refoua came onto Avatar thinking it would be a quick 6 week job, but it turned out to take 128 weeks to complete. Refoua worked his way up through one hour television dramas eventually working with James Cameron while editing "Dark Angel", a Fox series that ran for 2 years. Subsequent to the show's run, Cameron asked Refoua to help finish the edit of Ghosts of the Abyss, the 3D IMAX documentary about the sinking of the Titanic. Refoua has over 22 years of experience in editing.
