Jo Allen is a British makeup artist well known for her "ageing" techniques. Notable films to her credit include, Gladiator (2000), Quills (2000), The Hours (2002), and The Sea Inside (2004). Javier Bardem said that through her miraculous makeup she gave him 50% of his performance.
