Jessica Chastain is an Academy Award-winning American actress. She played guest roles in several television shows before making her feature film debut in the 2008 independent film Jolene. In 2011, she gained wide public recognition for her starring roles in seven film releases; her performance as Celia Foote in The Help was particularly well received, as well as, her lead performance in the controversial 2012 military thriller film Zero Dark Thirty. In 2012, Time magazine featured her as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World".
