Hugo is a family fantasy adventure drama based on Brian Selznick's novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret. It is director Martin Scorsese's first 3-D filmmaking and tells the story of a young orphan living in a Paris train station who befriends famed early theater pioneer Georges Méliès.
