It stars Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini, Sebastian Maniscalco, Dimiter D. Marinov and Mike Hatton. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released by Universal Pictures. The film received positive reviews from critics, with Mortensen and Ali's performances being lauded, although it drew some criticism for its perceived historical inaccuracies.

Plot[]

A working-class Italian-American bouncer, Tony "Lip" Vellelonga, becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist, Don Shirley, on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South. Disparate their differences, the pair witness and endure America's appalling injustices on the road, they find a newfound respect for each other. In doing so, they would nurture a friendship and understanding that would change both their lives.
