Don't Look Up is a 2021 sci-fi black comedy film about two astronomers who try to warn everyone around them about an upcoming meteor heading towards Earth, much to no avail. The film is directed and written by Adam McKay, who also developed the story with David Sirota. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert Joy, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Streep. Released by Netflix, the film had its world premiere in New York City on December 2, 2021, and began a limited theatrical release eight days later on December 10, followed by digital streaming two weeks later on Christmas Eve.
