Christopher Boyes is an Academy Award-winning American sound designer, mixer and editor of Lucasfilm's Skywalker Sound. He has won four Academy Awards and has been nominated for another nine. He has worked on over 70 films since 1991 including Iron Man, King Kong, Avatar and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and the rest of the LOTR trilogy. In addition to feature film work, he has done extensive field recording all around the world. Mr. Boyes has also created special sound EFX for multiple applications like high-end commercials and radio tags for European radio stations. Mr. Boyes also designed applications for audio outboard gear such as reverb processing devices.
