Chris Terrio is an American film director and writer based in New York City. He won the Writers Guild Award for Best Adapted Screenplay of 2012. At the 70th Golden Globe Awards he was nominated for Best Screenplay. The Argo script also brought him a BAFTA nomination and the 2013 Los Angeles Film Critics Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Terrio also wrote the screenplay for the sequel to Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, titled Batman vs. Superman.
