CODA is a 2021 dramedy film about Ruby Rossi, a young woman who is also the only hearing member of a deaf family, who must decide whether she wants to pursue a career in music or help her family's struggling fishing business. The film is directed and written by Siân Heder, and is a remake of the 2014 French film La Famille Bélier. The film stars Emilia Jones, Eugenio Derbez, Troy Kotsur, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Daniel Durrant, and Marlee Martin. The film had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 28, 2021, and was released both in theaters and on Apple TV+ on August 13.
