Belfast is a 2021 dramedy film about a middle class Northern Irish family as they experience the beginning of The Troubles. The film is directed and written by Kenneth Branagh. The film stars Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan, Lewis McAskie, and Jude Hill (in his screen debut). The film had its world premiere at the 48th Telluride Film Festival on September 2, 2021 and was released theatrically in the United States on November 12, and later in the United Kingdom on January 21, 2022.
