Anthony McCarten (born 1961) is a New Zealand novelist, playwright and screenwriter. McCarten received early international success with his play "Ladies Night" which remains New Zealand's most commercially successful play of all time. His most successful novel is Death to a Superhero which he also adapted for film and is now a stage musical.
