Alex Gibney is an American documentary film director and producer. In 2010, Esquire magazine said Gibney "is becoming the most important documentarian of our time." He has two Oscar nominations to date and has won once, and nearly every project her has worked on in the last decade has been shortlisted by the Academy, even those that did not receive a nomination.
